Critical Reflection: Question 2

2. How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

My product will keep my audience (women) engaged by giving them new healthy recipes and workouts in the magazines. I also believe that women who would buy my product (those in fitness), would enjoy reading about other successful women in fitness which will help motivate them. I believe that my product will make women feel more comfortable when getting into fitness and make them feel better.

My product, if it were to be released and distributed, would most likely benefit more from remaining an online magazine. It can sometimes be costly to print loads of magazines, especially if you are unsure how many people will buy it. Keeping it online would be cost efficient and save money from not having to print it. It is also difficult to distribute new magazines on paper when people already have their preferred, larger scale, magazines to read that have easier access to celebrities for the cover as well as monthly subscriptions to get the newest magazine shipped to them and they don't mind waiting. With a brand new magazine, it would be much better if the audience can buy one and see if they like it without having to wait or own a hard copy that might end up being thrown in the garbage.
